Death and funeral of an Aged Resident - The funeral of Mr G Cox, one of the oldest and most respected inhabitants, as well as a prominent Wesleyan, took place on Thursday, the townspeople testifying their regard for him by attending the obsequies in very considerable numbers at the Wesleyan Memorial Church, as well as the Cemetary. Deceased who was in his 90th year, was by profession a builders mason, and as such had been associated with many notable building works, his ability as such being greatly appreciated. In his later years he acted as church caretaker, which he held until a few years ago. General sympathy is held with the relatives in their bereavement.
