- IN the NAME of GOD AMEN I Bartholomew Leavold of Bramton In the County of Suffolk farmer being of sound and disposing mind memory & understanding praised be Almighty God for the same But calling to mind the certainty of Death and the great Uncertainty of the Time thereof Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following that is to say first I give and bequeath unto Esther my beloved wife and to her heirs for Ever the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money of this Realm to be paid unto her by my Executors hereafter named within six Months next after my decease if demanded by her the said Esther my wife and I give and bequeath unto John Leavold my Son and to his Heirs for Ever the like Sum of fifty pounds of like lawful Money to be paid unto him the said John Leavold within one Year next after my decease ALSO I Give and bequeath unto Thomas Leavold my Son and to his Heirs for Ever the Sum of forty pounds of like lawful Money to be paid unto him the said Thomas Leavold within one year next after my decease and I give and bequeath unto William Leavold my Son and to his heirs for Ever the like sum of forty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto him the said William Leavold if demanded within one year next after my Decease AND my Mind and Will further is that the aforesaid John Leavold and Thomas Leavold my Sons shall have hold and enjoy the farm I now occupy jointly with all tile Stocks Utensils and Implements of husbandry thereunto belonging they making proper Allowance according to the Appraisement thereof hereinafter mentioned for and during and unexpired Time of my Lease And my Will further is that a true and perfect Inventory and Valuation of all and singular my Stock Utensils implements of husbandry and personal Estate of what kind so ever shall be made within one Month next after my decease by two Indifferent persons one of which to he appointed by lily said loving wife and the other by the said John Leavold and Thomas Leavold my Sons And my mind and Will further is that when all the aforesaid Legacies herein given my just Debts together with all my funeral Charges and the Charge of the Probate of this lily Will and also the Charges & Expenses that shall or may happen or be occasioned in or about the Execution thereof be fully paid and satisfied Then all the rest residue and remainder or Overplus of the Money or Monies arising from or out of the said Stock or personal Estate be given or paid by my Executors to Esther my beloved wife together with the above said legacy herein before given her for and towards her support and maintainance during her natural life And I make and constitute and ordain John Leavold my Son and Thomas Leavold my Son Executors of this my last Will & Testament requiring them to see it faithfully executed according to the true Interest and Meaning thereof In Witness thereof to this my last Will and Testament I have set my hand and Seal this twentieth Day of January in the Year of our Lord 1768
Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Bartholomew Leavold the Testator to be his last Will & Testament in the presence of us who have set our Names as Witnesses hereto ill his presence and at his request
